Great little sandwich shop with fresh sandwiches to go. Perfect for a bagged lunch to bring on the boat!

Outstanding stop for breakfast or lunch, always. Specials are exactly that, and this week's were no exception. The Monte Cristo was perfect! Who knew you could use mango bread like that. Great service and easy parking (a rarity here in Key West). Thanks.

The cobba lotta may be the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Great food and great service. We buy bread here every week too.

The sort of cappuccino they serve here could pass for cafe con leche or just plain coffee with milk. The croissant might charitably called run of the mill. Seems more lunch counter than bakery. Only to be used in an emergency.

Off the beaten path, but we'll worth the walk . . . In fact, we needed the 10,000 steps to walk off the humongous sandwiches! Ham and cheese on hearty wheat, and a panini on Cuban bread with salami, mozzarella, tomato, lettuce... The sandwiches are served with a small cup of cucumber salad, potato salad, or fruit, and a 3-bite slice of cookie. We each had a large half sandwich, and brought the other half back for dinner. Setting is interesting: shared space with a gourmet kitchen store. Casual dining among the fancy sauces and utensils.

We came here for a late lunch. I'm glad my husband and I decided to split a sandwich because they are really big! The bread was delicious and the sandwich ingredients were fresh and high quality.

We remembered this place from our last adventure to key west & knew we had to come back. The sandwiches have always been uber tasty. Today I had the Cuban with a side of potato salad and both evoked the happy food dance. It can be difficult to find a nice potato salad so I was very pleasantly surprised.

Whenever we are in KW we make sure to pick up their outstanding mango bread. This year we got several lunch sandwiches on whole grain bread that were also delicious. Wish we had a Coles Peace here at home.

Bake a bun. Pinch a loaf. Well, actually...don't do that. Cole's Peace is a small but well-stocked bakery/cafe that bakes much of the Keys local breads that are served at many great restaurants and cafes. All of the breads that I have had have been great, but the mango bread is a must try. Same goes for baked goods. If you dig fish, tuna sandwich lunch with cookie wedge is probably your best deal for a decent meal. Parking is somewhat limited and hours even more so.

I love bakeries... from the smell to the wonderful treats they create to the fresh breads and so much more. Although Cole's offers more than just bread, I came here specifically for the fresh bread. I've had it served to me but I never personally came in for a purchase. Like all bakeries, it smelled wonderful upon entering the door. But... Sometimes smelling nice and looking good is just not enough. No worries, I'm not referring to your last relationship, just talking about Cole's. I'll give them some credit, the breads and the bakery sweets (cookies & sticky buns we purchased) are great. Places can be low-cost, they can be fairly priced, they can be a bit too expensive, they can be a good bang-for-the-buck but sometimes you get "way out of whack" prices... and that is just what I found. I never knew they offered deli sandwiches, but looked over a lunch sandwich menu but at 9 dollars for a sandwich I say "no thanks" (keep in mind this is not a sit-down restaurant). Almost 7 dollars for grilled cheese, really? Almost 6 dollars for a short loaf of bread (small loaves). I think I'll continue to eat Cole's bread, when offered at someone else's expense but I'll continue to purchase baked goodies and breads at Publix bakery or Old Town Bakery. Don't misunderstand, the offerings are good, just priced higher than what seems to be fair when other decent options are available locally.

Quaint and kinda hidden place but well worth it. Grilled pastrami was just amazing. Cucumber salad was uber fresh. Small menu of sandwiches and breakfast items but quality is quite high. Desserts looked amazing as well. Claim to have the best sandwiches on the island, I bet many would agree

Yum. It has been on my 'gotta go' list for many years, I'm glad we finally had a chance. We did just have a big breakfast right before visiting so we didn't buy much. We strolled thru the artists market, spent $8 for coasters I'll use for ages. Then we got a cookie and coffee. Not much for a review's content but I'm content. No place to sit down, bummer. Teeny place and was busy during artist market. Coffee and cookie = good. Cookie was too rich for hubby, perfect for me.

The bad: their supposedly amazing potato salad is super bland. I got chili from them and the beans weren't cooked. Ordered grilled ciabatta with Havarti and it was hard as a rock. They close at 2 (ridic). The good: their baguettes. I buy them and freeze them for when I'm making sandwiches at home. (If it's just to eat with some cheese or olive oil, I like the baguette from Old Town Bakery better.) The tiny almond bar that comes with sandwiches is delicious. Love their sourdough.

I didn't eat at the restaurant but stopped to get the mango bread they advertise and we heard so much about. Instead of a host of wonderful breads etc, there was a few loaves of basic bread (white, wheat, sourdough). Only day old mango bread was being sold. Why bother advertising it if you are not going to keep it supplied? The place was a kitchen supply store with a few loaves of bread for sale.

It looked "pretty" but it turned out to be an Aweful sandwich! Half of it fell on the floor at the first bite. I was able to eat some of the other half...but only after finding a fork. That being said, the flavor was ok. Not my kind of sandwich.

Delicious bakery hidden in Key West!! I passed this place several times and wondered in one day while browsing the "Restaurant Store" next door. They have wonderful sandwich selections and I absolutely devoured the sticky buns and cookies! Sucks they close so early :(

Yummy breakfast cheese toast on Cuban bread. Everything is fresh so when it is out, its out. Tasty pastries and cookies too.

I am a big fan of Cole's Peace for lunch. The sandwiches are large, freshly made, and full of flavor. My standby is the Ciabatta-Lotta, which is essentially an interpretation of a muffuletta. They rotate sandwich specials throughout the week and some of them are really great. There is not a lot of seating and it is always busy, so I normally do take out. The staff is very friendly and are great at steering your taste buds in the right direction.

Bike Man stops here for lunch all the time! Take home some bread, put it in the freezer and your mornings will be a delight. Only a few tables inside so you might want to go early or late. Great place and nice people.

We had cinnamon rolls and some sandwiches and both were terrific.

We did not get sandwich but got some bread and cookies. It was delicious. I love dense bread with a lot of stuff in it.

Ate here twice on my most recent visit to Key West. The sandwiches, which are prepared in the bakery, are very good. You can get a choice of a bag of chips or potato salad which they make on the premises. They also have specials which vary from day to day. There are only a few small tables in the bakery portion but you can eat at one of the tables in the restaurant store which is attached. The staff there are very friendly and I will gladly visit them again on my next trip. Prices are in line with what you pay in Key West for good food. Sandwich, potato salad and a can of soda ran about 10-12 dollars including tax.

I love bakeries that serve sandwiches. They use fresh ingredients and the bread speaks for itself.
